About OSC Engineering

Cell phones transmit to cell antennas at various sites. Those antennas produce non-ionizing radiation. There are guidelines that these sites must conform to. Occupational Safety & Compliance Engineering (OSC Engineering) help sites maintain this compliance.

OSC Engineering provides Radio Frequency (RF) Electromagnetic Emissions (EME) technical services to property owners and wireless operators to comply with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations.  RF energy emissions include radio waves and microwaves, which are used to provide telecommunication services. Wireless sites are usually located on buildings, towers, monopoles, water towers, etc.  The FCC has set limits on RF energy exposure to humans on a wireless cell site in order to ensure safety.  The FCC mandates all wireless sites must be in compliance with their regulations through an annual Compliance Study.

OSC Engineering's goal is to provide RF safety awareness to any individual who comes in contact with RF radiation exposure.  We believe that with the proper RF safety training and awareness, building owners and wireless operators can provide a safer working environment. OSC Engineering provides professional RF safety compliance studies. The FCC regulates two levels of exposure limits based on the knowledge and training a person has had: Controlled and Uncontrolled. Occupational (controlled) refers to workers who are fully aware (trained) of the potential RF exposure at the site, and the General Population (uncontrolled), refers to individuals who have no awareness of the potential to RF exposure.
